International Women’s Day 2020: Each for Equal

Are you playing ball?

The term ball is universally used to describe an essential equipment in a number of games. It comes in different shapes, sizes and forms. The ball takes the shape of the game for which it is meant. It brings joy to many when used for its purpose. Never has it been heard that a basket ball says to a football that I am better than you. A tennis ball brings joys and awwh to the onlookers when used correctly in a tennis game. A football match without a ball is just a gathering of fans and 22 players !

As the theme of this years international women’s day is “Each for Equal”, it is important that we appreciate each other first as individuals and then as equal. Equal because we are all unique. You may be a tennis ball and your sister/friend a golf ball. Let’s inspire one another to unlock our hidden potentials. As you unlock your potentials, remember to celebrate yourself and other ladies around you who daily take one step at a time in the right direction to unlock individual, workplace and or family potentials. As women learn to celebrate one anther and look out genuinely for one another’s interest, the society will be forced to do the same.

Teach your young sons, nephews and cousins that women are unique and achievers as well.

EWAD, as we mark international women’s day continue to be that unique Ball.
